This year has been one of resilience, transformation, and hope – made possible by you.
At Your Place, our mission is simple: to build hope and enable lasting change, to end homelessness for people in east London. Every day, we provide not only a safe home but also the compassionate, tailored support that empowers people to rebuild their lives.
And this year, thanks to your support, we’ve achieved so much together.
Homelessness in Newham has reached crisis levels: 1 in 18 people are now without a home, the highest rate in the UK. Many of our residents face complex challenges such as poor mental health, insecure housing, and barriers to employment.
Yet despite these systemic hurdles, we are proud to have supported 226 people to move on from homelessness in 2024/25. Each one represents a story of resilience and possibility.

IMPACT AT A GLANCE
- 226 residents were supported to move on from homelessness
- 77 residents moved on into their new homes
- 57 residents secured or sustained employment
- 100% of residents were supported to access external health services
- 61% improved in at least 3 areas on their Home Star, from self-care to relationships
- 100% of residents who moved on maintained their new tenancy

Behind these numbers are real people, each with their own journey.
A survivor of domestic abuse, Isadora came to Your Place at a low point, having lost both her home and her confidence. With encouragement from her key worker, she rediscovered her skills and secured work as an interpreter while setting her sights on university. “They really pay attention to you, and they care about your needs. I felt so supported.”
The stories of Isadora, Mick and Gideon, which you can read in the report, remind us that homelessness is not the end – with support, it can be a turning point.
None of this would be possible without the commitment of our supporters, partners and community of people that care. From bake sales to marathons, fundraising challenges to corporate volunteering, your efforts make an extraordinary difference.
