Our 2025/26 Impact: Lives rebuilt, futures restored

This year has been one of progress and possibility, and every step forward has been made possible by you.

Our 2025/26 Impact Report is now available, and it captures what we witness every day at Your Place: when people receive the right support at the right moment, lives can change.

Thanks to your support, 243 people took steps away from homelessness this year, finding safety, stability and the chance to rebuild. Among them were 120 new residents who arrived at moments of crisis and found a community ready to walk alongside them.

Homelessness in east London remains at critical levels, and demand for our services continues to grow. Last year alone, we received 463 referrals – far more than the spaces available. Behind each referral is someone facing uncertainty, often with complex needs and limited options. Yet because of your support, real progress is being made.

"When I came to Your Place, I found a community of people who really listen to what you need."

IMPACT AT A GLANCE

  • 243 people were supported to move on from homelessness, and found a safe place to stay and a community at Your Place.
  • 73 residents moved into new homes, and every resident who kept in touch sustained their tenancy for at least nine months, a key milestone for long‑term stability.
  • 94% of residents who moved on were more confident to live independently thanks to the support received at Your Place.
  • 37 residents secured or sustained employment, building confidence, routine and financial independence.
  • 76% engaged in meaningful activities, from training to volunteering to community groups that rebuild connection.
  • Two new services launched, The Harbour Project and Resettlement Flats, both designed to fill critical gaps in the housing system.

Behind these numbers are real people, each with their own journey.

Darren, who came to Your Place having lived in a shed after losing a loved one, said, “Because of Your Place, I’ve got the strength and support to progress.” Charlotte*, who became homeless aged just 19, described moving into her new flat as the moment she felt she was “really starting my life.”

The stories of Darren, Charlotte and Nate, which you can read in the report, show what’s possible when people are given the right support at the right time.

None of this would be possible without the commitment of our team, supporters, partners and community of people that care. From bake sales to marathons, fundraising challenges to corporate volunteering, your efforts make an extraordinary difference.
