"The London Borough of Newham continues to have one of the highest rates of homelessness in England"
The government statistics released today (for April to June 2025) paint a sobering picture of homelessness in Newham.
With over 14,500 households (59 per 1,000 households) living in temporary accommodation and 76 people sleeping rough, the London Borough of Newham continues to have one of the highest rates of homelessness in England.
But behind every number is a story and a person facing the harsh reality of life without a home. We work with people experiencing just that every day. It’s not just about bricks and mortar. It’s about people’s lives and their futures.
At Your Place, we do more than provide a roof over someone’s head. We offer tailored services designed to support people to rebuild their lives. From access to training and employment opportunities to mental health and wellbeing support, our work creates lasting changes and opens doors to new possibilities.
While local efforts are vital, the scale of this crisis demands more. We need a collaborative and coordinated response from government, local authorities, housing providers and the community addressing the root causes of homelessness. Homelessness can be solved, and Your Place is proud to be at the forefront of delivering solutions that transform individual lives.
Together, we can make a difference.
