Your Place join pilot scheme to end homelessness with sustainable change
We are excited to participate in a new pilot from the Centre for Homelessness Impact, funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) pointing towards a person-centred innovation in solving homelessness
At Your Place, we are proud to have been selected as one of the organisations for Test and Learn, an innovative pilot scheme facilitating person-centred solutions to resolving homelessness.
Funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and led by the Centre for Homelessness Impact, the Test and Learn pilot will see a number of residents at Your Place receive a personalised budget which will fund the specific steps they need to move on from their experience of homelessness. For example, this could fund a qualification they need to get back into work, a deposit for private rented accommodation, or specialist counselling for personal or mental health needs.
In line with Your Place’s mission of ending homelessness one person at a time, residents will work closely with their key worker to decide how their personalised budget will be used.
Test and Learn is part of a three-year programme run by the Centre for Homelessness Impact and funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. This is supporting innovative responses to homelessness and includes an independent evaluation of its impact, using a randomised controlled trial.
