WE HELPED MORE PEOPLE THAN EVER LAST YEAR!
Last year we helped more people than ever to move on from homelessness than ever before!
Our impact report, which covers successes from 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020, shows that in the past year 287 people were able to call Your Place home. 81 residents secured and sustained employment, and a further 103 moved on from our service and into their own homes – our ultimate goal for everyone who walks through our doors!
Anthony, a resident who has now moved on, said, “ I can’t thank Your Place enough. They gave me a home when I didn’t have one, and the support to become the person I am today. With your help, I’ve just landed my dream job and my own home! I couldn’t be more grateful for everything Your Place have done for me, and for the new life I’m excited to begin.”
Amanda Dubarry, Chief Executive, said, “We’re very proud that we supported more people on their journeys out of homelessness than ever before. Our team of dedicated and talented staff have continued to put residents at the heart of all decisions, and worked with them to ensure they can start their new beginnings.”
Since the Covid-19 lockdown took hold in March, we have also:
- Ensured residents still get all the support they need, from a social distance
- Delivered food and PPE, so residents don’t need to go out unless essential
- Moved people in to Your Place who were placed in hotels over lockdown
- Kept all of our residents Covid-free, despite very high levels in Newham
“This year is yet another extraordinary year – but for very different reasons. The Covid-19 pandemic has and will continue to have a huge impact, but we know that we have great foundations in place and your fantastic support which will help us to ride the storm.”
“On behalf of all of the residents, staff, and Board here, I’d like to say a huge thank you for your support. We really couldn’t do it without you”, Amanda Dubarry, CEO.
