The event is held to welcome all of our residents to celebrate with us this Christmas season. At Caritas Anchor house we understand that Christmas can be a difficult time for those separated from loved ones which is why we hope to offer our residents a place that feels like home.

The importance of feeling part of a community should not be underestimated. This is especially true for people that have experienced social exclusion or isolation. We combat this through providing a safe space for expression, an environment where all are welcome, and a roof under which a host of positive activities take place to make the next chapter for our residents a bright one.

We have been extremely fortunate to have arranged a number of activities for the Christmas Fair, most of which have been kindly donated. We will have hand massage on offer as well as sound therapy and well-being sessions running throughout the day. There will also be a Crafternoon of decoration and card making, a Christmas wreath workshop and cupcake-decorating session, and we’ll even have a fantastic photobooth from the generous people at PhotoMeBooth!

Caritas Anchor House is a beacon of hope for hundreds of people in the area with the highest levels of homelessness in the country. We have huge aspirations for our residents and our charity, and will continue to help many more people in the years to come. No-one should become homeless, and we’re passionate that those who walk through our doors receive the support they need – and a Christmas Fair to put a smile on their faces!
