People become homeless for lots of different reasons. No two stories are ever exactly the same and it could happen to any of us.
Homelessness is not just sleeping on the streets
It also means people without a permanent home. This could mean living in unsuitable temporary accommodation in hostels, bed and breakfasts or sofa-surfing.
Many reasons can result in a person becoming homeless. For example, landlord selling the property, eviction notices, rent arrears, domestic abuse, high accommodation costs, unemployment, family breakdown or relationship break-ups.
Get the facts
We all deserve...
Compassion, human connection and second chances.
We have an unwavering belief in people and their capacity for overcoming adversity, transforming their lives and believing in themselves.
A community that includes is the antidote to homelessness. It can be life-changing when it’s truly open, mutually supportive and promotes a positive space to grow for all.
Self-belief isn’t something that can be gifted to us by another; each of us must be the centre of our own growth.
