Introducing Your Place

We remain the same charity with the same purpose, passion and pride. Most importantly, the support we provide to people experiencing homelessness will remain the same.

We’re incredibly proud of our history, including our Catholic heritage.

Our history will always remain a huge part of the charity, but what we need now is a name that helps us reach people who need our support, and people who want to support the charity. Your Place will better enable us to do this.

In the current climate, demand on our services has never been greater and our support has never been more needed by people experiencing homelessness.

We’ve kept costs to an absolute minimum by careful planning and minimal waste.

We believe that changing our name will help us to raise more awareness of the charity and more funding for our services, which will enable us to support more people experiencing homelessness.

We also believe this change will have a positive impact on resident wellbeing.  Our name, Your Place, offers a sense of ownership and new strength, whilst our fresh colour palette brings warmth and positive energy into everything that we do.

We’ve spoken to the bank about how to manage this change smoothly. You don’t have to change anything for your direct debit or standing order, as our bank account number and sort code have not changed. You’ll receive a communication from us explaining more, but your generous gift is still going to the same great cause. Thank you.

To minimise the impact to our wonderful donors, we’ve arranged it so the bank can accept cheques made to both our former and current name for the time being.  Ideally though, cheques should be made payable to ‘Your Place’.

Thank you so much for your gift. No, you don’t need to update your Will with our new name as we can still receive income donated to Caritas Anchor House, as our registered charity number has not changed. Your gift will still come to us and be used to support people experiencing homelessness in the future. Thank you for helping provide a lifeline to vulnerable people with a gift in your Will.

No. Your fundraising page will automatically update with the new name. We are also able to still receive income donated to Caritas Anchor House as well as income for Your Place for the time being. Thank you for your support.

Yes. You will no longer find the charity using the name Caritas Anchor House.
