How we help people
At Your Place, a person experiencing homelessness can access the one-to-one support they need to rebuild their life and reconnect with the world.
A supported journey to independent living
Everyone needs a safe place to live. But when someone becomes homeless, they lose much more than the roof over their head.
Your Place provides a hopeful, healing space where people can access the support they need to regain their self-belief and rebuild their lives. That could mean working with trauma, resolving health issues, accessing financial help, housing and job opportunities, or cultivating the skills and confidence to live independently.
There are three main aspects of our work:
• A safe place to live
• One-to-one support
• Pathway to independence
Our services
At Your Place, we take a holistic approach to solving homelessness, its root causes and its outcomes. Learn more about our specialist services and how they connect with our wider community.
Homelessness can happen to anyone, and we’re here to help if it does
Our services in the London Borough of Newham exist to help people in our community to get back on their feet if they lose their home.
The services are tailored to people with different support needs, but all have the same goal - to end homelessness one person at a time:
- Anchor House is the home of the Personal Development Team and the Intensive Support Service
- Hope Street supports residents with low or medium support needs, who are being supported for work and moving on
- The Harbour Project provides a long-term home for 23 residents, with the support they need to recover from long periods of homelessness
We work in partnership with referral agencies, rather than accepting individual referrals directly. If you are an organisation interested in making a referral for an adult into one of our services or finding out more, please get in touch using the details below.
