Give Goods

We would be grateful for any donations of the below listed items. It’s important that these items are non-perishable (can be stored without a refrigerator before consumption).

• Dried food, including pasta, noodles, rice, grains
• Tinned food, including tuna, beans, vegetables, fruit
• Tinned meals, including soup, pasta, stew, chilli
• Jarred food, including pasta sauces, curries, pickles, jams, condiments
• Breakfast items, including cereals, granolas and breakfast bars
• Beverages, including tea, coffee, sugar, squash, long-life fruit juices
• Snacks, including crackers, biscuits and crisps
• Cooking essentials, including oil, salt and pepper, herbs and spices.

Toiletries and hygiene products are often considered luxury items for the individuals we support, when they may have previously been rough sleeping or living in difficult situations.

• Toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash
• Hairbrushes, hair combs (including Afro-Caribbean products)
• Hand soap, shower gel, body wash
• Shaving gel and razors
• Afro-Caribbean shampoo and conditioner
• European shampoo and conditioner
• Deodorant
• Moisturiser (face, body and hand cream)
• Feminine hygiene products
• Toilet paper
• Perfume, aftershave

Please note that around 70% of our residents are male and 30% are female, and approximately 50% of our residents are from Afro-Caribbean backgrounds.

• Winter coats and accessories, including hats and scarves
• Smart clothing suitable for job interviews
• Comfortable clothing, including t-shirts, tracksuits and jumpers
• Underwear and socks

Please note that our residents prefer clothing in plain or muted colours – black, grey and navy items tend to be more popular than vibrant and brightly coloured clothing.  Around 70% of our residents are male and 30% are female.

We Collect We Donate takes the hassle out of recycling your unwanted clothes through their charity clothes collection and donation services covering London. If you have clothes, shoes, coats, jackets or bags that are preloved and need a new home, you can contact them knowing that your donation will help support the residents here at Your Place.
