Philanthropic gifts and grants
We are proud to work in partnership with generous individuals, trusts and foundations who make major gifts and grants to help end homelessness, one person at a time.
We’re truly grateful to those individuals, charitable trusts and foundations, whose generosity enables us to develop and deliver ‘added value’ projects for which no statutory funding is available, but make such a difference to the lives of people who have experienced homelessness.
Together, we can end homelessness – one person at a time.
Making a personal major gift
Major gifts can have a huge impact on the lives of people who are experiencing homelessness, and support their journeys to a better life. Your Place is a lifeline to those who have lost their homes and their self-esteem, and here we provide hope, home and a healing place to grow.
And you can be a part of that. Major gifts enable us to deliver and develop our services to have the greatest impact on those we are here to help.
We know that making a large donation is a big decision, and we want to make sure that your experience of working with and supporting Your Place is positive. We’re keen to work with you in a way that suit you best.
We will keep you closely informed on the impact of your support, and invite you to take part in visits and events, bringing you closer to the work you’ve helped to make possible.
We’d also be pleased to discuss ways to contribute to areas of work that are most important to you, for example, you may wish to support a specific project in need of funding that you feel passionate about. Otherwise, you can rest assured that your contribution will be used where it can have the greatest impact.
Maximising your gift with Gift Aid
UK tax-payers can increase their gift by completing this Gift Aid declaration or completing the form when you make a gift via our website. This could increase your gift by an additional 25%. Please note that you must have paid income tax on the amount of Gift Aid claimed in the tax year you made your donation. You can find out more about Gift Aid here.
Tax relief for higher rate taxpayers
If you’re a higher rate taxpayer, you can claim back the difference between higher rate and basic rate tax on the value of your donation. For a 40% rate taxpayer, that means for every £1 you donate, you can claim back 25p in tax relief.
