Your Place shortlisted twice in the Housing Heroes Awards

Your Place have received two shortlisted nominations in the upcoming Housing Heroes Awards

We are delighted to announce that Your Place have received two shortlisted nominations in the Housing Heroes Awards. In the Inspirational Colleague of the Year Award, our Housing Services Team Leader, Shannon, is a category finalist.

Having worked at Your Place for 22 years, Shannon is a fantastic example of an inspirational colleague, who is committed to not only Your Place’s core values, but the wellbeing and outcomes of our residents. She has worked her way up through the ranks, working with and inspiring both residents and staff throughout their respective journeys, and has made an impact as a trustworthy, caring, professional member of the team. Shannon was featured in our Inspiring Women piece for International Women’s Day back in March, where she discusses her role and the progression she has made over the years.

Our second finalist is John Lowery, Director of Frontline Services at Your Place. He has been shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement Award, which highlights his long-term commitment to ending homelessness.

As a consistent, calm and highly knowledgeable presence in the organisation, he has dedicated most of his career to the objectives of ending homelessness for individuals, while taking into account complex landscapes across housing, mental health, the criminal justice system and immigration. With his passion for this work clear and leadership lasting several decades, we’re so pleased to see his work recognised by the judging panel as a finalist.

The awards ceremony will be taking place in June in Manchester. We look forward to celebrating with Shannon and John later in the year!
