The Vintners’ Foundation’s Surprise Gift
The Vintners’ Foundation has awarded a £5,000 cost of living uplift to our work with people who have experienced rough sleeping.
This surprise, but very much needed, gift follows a three-year partnership which has seen the Vintners’ Foundation support our core costs and work with people who have been experiencing rough sleeping with a grant of £10,000 per year. The partnership has allowed us to develop and enhance our impact on many individuals who are extremely marginalised. We have been able to target and engage people who are furthest away from the job market and struggling to secure employment and independent living. Mental and physical health is a huge problem for people who are experiencing homelessness with a history of rough sleeping, but by working closely with these individuals we are able to improved their wellbeing and as a result improved their work-readiness.
